Origin of Windows XP Default Wallpaper

Have you ever thought what is this picture, where does it come from and other details? This is a photograph of a landscape in Sonoma County, California, from which the famous Bliss image, used as the default computer wallpaper on Windows XP, was produced. The photograph was taken by the professional photographer Charles O’Rear. Inside you’ll find the Bliss image to compare with, the same view shot 10 years later and a photo by the Swiss artist who managed to find a view post factum, which looks even more like the Bliss image!
